BORN FROM A STRANDED BATTERY & A DARING IDEA

How a 3AM Highway Nightmare Sparked a Charging Revolution
The Breaking Point
It started on a freezing November night in 2020. Our founder, Michael Rostov, was driving his first-generation Nissan Leaf cross-country when his battery died in rural Wyoming – miles from any charger. As he waited 9 hours for a tow truck, Michael realized: “EV adoption will fail if charging isn’t accessible to everyone, everywhere.”
The Garage Revolution
Frustrated by overpriced, fragile chargers, Michael converted his Seattle garage into a lab:
⚡ Week 1: Hacked a portable charger from drone batteries (prototype weight: 15 lbs!)
🔧 Month 3: Partnered with ex-Tesla engineers to crack rapid cooling tech
🌍 Year 1: Shipped 500 “Adventure Series” chargers to early adopters – funded via Kickstarter
